Privacy Policy

MONOLITH respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit or buy from our store, how we use it, and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Order information: name, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number and payment details (processed securely by our payment providers; we never see your full card number).
  • Account information: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived at the store, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Marketing preferences: if you subscribe to our letter, your email address and the fact that you consented.

How we use it

  • To fulfil your order, arrange delivery and send order and shipping confirmations (contractual necessity).
  • To answer your questions and handle returns and replacements.
  • To screen orders for fraud and keep the store secure (legitimate interests).
  • To send you our letter if you have asked for it. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • To understand how the store is used and improve it (legitimate interests, and consent for non-essential cookies).

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the store: Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, delivery carriers and, where you have consented, our email marketing provider. We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

We keep order records for as long as required by UK tax law (currently six years) and marketing data until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on our Contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the store and, with your consent, analytics cookies to understand how it is used. You can manage non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page.
